General Data Protection Regulation :

Army Of Frogs and the protection of personal data

The satisfaction and security of the personal data of our customers are particularly important to us. When you decide to outsource all or part of the hosting of the data processed by your organization to the Army Of Frogs, you choose to entrust us with a part of your information assets. We are aware of the issues that such outsourcing may represent for your organization, particularly in terms of regulatory compliance. This is why Army Of Frogs provides you with complete information possible on the issues concerning the protection of personal data.

Regulations on the protection of personal data

There are various texts of international, European or national scope that are today applicable to the protection of personal data. The main ones are:

  • Law n ° 78-17 of January 6, 1978, relating to computers, files, and freedoms.
  • Directive 95/46 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealed on 25 May 2018 by Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95 / 46 / EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
  • Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (2012 / C 326/02).
  • Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data.

Army Of Frogs undertakes to comply with its obligations under the regulations and, in particular, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is thanks to this commitment to compliance that Army Of Frogs’ customers are also able to meet some of their regulatory obligations. We strongly encourage all of our customers to be particularly vigilant about these aspects of compliance.

Other more specific regulations may also exist, in particular for certain particular categories of personal data. This is the case for the processing of health data, for instance. It is up to the customer to clearly identify the regulations applicable to his activities, in order to comply with them. Choosing the right provider for your online services, especially in the cloud, is imperative to comply with its own obligations regarding the protection of personal data.

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Army Of Frogs has chosen to proceed with the appointment of an external DPO, whose role and tasks are partly provided for by European regulations. The DPO is completely independent in the accomplishment of its missions: it is the external guarantor of the compliance of Army Of Frogs’ activities in the data processing.

Fully dedicated to this mission, Jean-Noël Bérenger, DPO Senior Consultant, has the necessary resources to perform her role without conflicts of interest and independently. He advises the operational and management of the company, in compliance with the obligations and best practices that Army Of Frogs must implement in the area of protection of personal data. In practice, it regularly educates and trains the group’s employees, responds to their privacy requests, implements a « Privacy by design » and « Privacy by default » approach, particularly in the development of new offers to customers, ensures the relations with the authorities of control…

Our external DPO is also the interlocutor of all customers wishing to have appropriate guarantees as to the measures implemented to ensure their compliance with the regulations, including the GDPR.
